Mr. Trotter, a native San Diegan, graduated from the University of California, San Diego, in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. While pursuing his Bachelors degree, Mr. Trotter competed on the UCSD Surf Team and studied abroad at Australia's Griffith University, where he also played on the club baseball team. Before returning from Australia, Mr. Trotter traveled to Zimbabwe. His time spent in Africa solidified his interest in the law after witnessing the injustices inflicted upon the native farmers in Zimbabwe.

Mr. Trotter later obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, he enjoyed working as a certified law clerk at the USD Legal Clinics. Under the supervision and tutelage of the clinic's expert litigation professors, Mr. Trotter personally counseled clients and advocated for his clients in court.  Mr. Trotter holds his USD pro bono legal clinic experience to be his most valuable and rewarding law school experience.

Mr. Trotter joined Koeller, Nebeker, Carlson & Haluck the summer after his second year in law school. He feels blessed to work in his hometown with the people in the San Diego office, where he began his legal career.  In his free time, Mr. Trotter enjoys various sports, working out, and spending time with his friends and family. He also has a passion for surfing, music, and traveling.
