Denise Cespedes grew up in Miami, Florida. After attending high school, she moved to Central Florida for college. Ms. Cespedes attended the University of Central Florida and gradated summa cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She returned to UCF a year later and earned her masters degree in the same field.
Ms. Cespedes then attended the Florida A&M College of Law. While in law school she earned various merit scholarships and was awarded the Certificate of Excellence. As a law student Ms. Cespedes was a member of the Hispanic American Law Students Association and the Central Florida American Inns of Court for the 2012-2013 academic year. She was also an editor on Law Review and graduated summa cum laude as class valedictorian. After sitting for the bar, Ms. Cespedes was selected for the distinguished honor of speaking on behalf of the newly inducted lawyers at the 5th District Court of Appeal’s induction ceremony after having earned one of the highest scores on the July 2013 Florida Bar Exam.
In her free time, Ms. Cespedes enjoys reading, spending time with her family, watching movies, and going to the gym.
