Mr. Hays graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law where he was an editor on the Virginia Environmental Law Journal and he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah. Mr. Hays has practiced in the area of construction law for the last 20 years. In that time he has represented large municipalities, contractors, subcontractors, owners, insurance companies, school districts, and even a major league baseball team in construction related manners.

Mr. Hays is an editor of the Construction Law Source, a legal publication that addresses industry developments, legal trends, contracting and collection issues, and topics of interest to the construction industry. He is also a frequent lecturer on the application of behavioral science to legal arguments.

Mr. Hays was the victorious trial counsel in two jury trials named as among the most important construction trials of the year, and has been recognized as one of the state’s leading construction lawyers for the last four years.
