Brittany grew up in a large Irish family on the southside of Chicago. The oldest of three siblings and many cousins, she was a standout high school volleyball player. Deciding to focus primarily on academics at the collegiate level, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she served as an intern to one of Wisconsin’s most respected politicians—then U.S. Senator Russ Feingold.
While at UW-Madison, Brittany double majored in Legal Studies and Political Science. A preference for her legal studies coursework and a last-minute trip to sunny Las Vegas led her to apply to the William S. Boyd School of Law. As a part-time evening student at Boyd, Brittany worked full-time in marketing until moving to Washington, D.C. to intern for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resource Section. During law school, Brittany also externed for the Honorable Gloria M. Navarro, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.
In her spare time, Brittany enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and two dogs, a good book, and rooting for the Wisconsin Badgers and her favorite Chicago sports teams.
