Craig R. Bermingham focuses his practice on business, construction, real estate, insurance defense and employment-related matters.
As a trusted counselor, Mr. Bermingham helps and supports his clients in structuring their businesses and transactions thoughtfully and effectively, and advises them on risk prevention and business strategy. As a skillful and fierce litigator, Craig champions and protects his clients’ interests through astute risk analysis and minimization, and appropriate litigation tactics and strategy to bring unwanted disputes to a swift and favorable conclusion.
Mr. Bermingham was awarded the Bronze Star Medal in the Gulf War for service in a Rocket Artillery Battalion with the First Armored Division, and as a former Army officer, he applies the same selfless, no-nonsense, mission-focus to his clients’ legal issues.
Craig earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida College of Law and has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2002. He has also earned degrees and/or studied as a guest scholar at the London School of Economics, the Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao, Spain, the Universität Augsburg in Augsburg, Germany, and Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.
He has previously worked as a political analyst and operative, and has worked in the German Bundestag (Legislature), the British Parliament, for the Partido Nacionalista Vasco (the Basque National Party), and in the United States Senate.
In his free time, Craig is an avid musician, having sung as a tenor professionally for a number of years on the operatic stages of Europe, and he enjoys playing and performing as a singer, guitarist, bassist and trombonist. Apart from being an intense sports fan generally, Craig is also a die-hard soccer fan, having played through college and in a regional league in Germany during military service there, and spends his weekends cheering for Orlando City and Borussia Dortmund.
Mr. Bermingham speaks German and Spanish fluently.
He is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Florida, and in the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
