Joy E. Sandon grew up in Orlando, Florida. Home schooled throughout high school, Joy began dual enrollment at Seminole State College during her junior year. She then attended Rollins College where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in English, graduating magna cum laude at just 19 years old. Fueled by a passion to help others, Joy then went on to attend law school at Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law.
While attending law school, Joy served as Associate Editor on Barry’s Law Review, going on to serve on the Executive Board as a Note and Comment Editor. She was also selected to serve as Dean’s Study Fellow, Dean’s Writing Fellow, and was a Teaching Assistant to Professor Kristy D’Angelo Corker for two years. Joy earned book awards for the highest achievement in the courses of Legal Research and Writing I and II, Criminal Procedure, and Business Organizations.
During her free time, Joy enjoys teaching kids how to ice skate, going to the gym, reading, and giving excessive pats and treats to her dog, Lily.
