Sharon Huerta is a native of southern California, living in San Diego since she was two years of age. After working as a legal secretary for ten years, Sharon attended and graduated magna cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1996, where she received numerous scholarships and achievement awards.
Shortly after admission to the California State Bar, Sharon began working for Koeller, Nebeker, Carlson & Haluck, LLP, where she now practices in all aspects of litigation, specializing in insurance coverage litigation and evaluation, bad faith, and developer representation. In addition, Ms. Huerta has significant experience in appellate writing and was primarily responsible for drafting briefs in numerous successful published and unpublished opinions, including Pardee Construction Co. v. Ins. Co. of the West (2000) 77 Cal.App.4th 1340, Emerald Bay Community Assn. v. Golden Eagle Ins. Corp. (2005) 130 Cal.App.4th 1078, and Pulte Home Corp. v. American Safety Indem. Co. (2017) 14 Cal.App.5th 1086.
Sharon is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, San Diego Defense Lawyers, and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. In her spare time, Sharon enjoys participating in numerous sporting activities, including snow skiing, tennis, and water sports.
