David W. Kash, Partner in our Phoenix office, will be speaking at the 25th Annual Pearlman Gathering on September 7, 2018 in the Seattle, Washington area aimed at enhancing the educational opportunities for surety and construction professionals.
Mr. Kash will be lecturing on "Debarment." This seminar will cover suspension and debarment of contractors as well as sureties on government construction projects.

Chad Dunigan, a frequent construction claims panelist and a managing partner in our Orlando office, will be presenting at the upcoming national Construction Litigation Management Business Insurance Construction Seminar being held at the Chicago Marriott Downtown. This year’s seminar will cover evolving aspects of insurance and risk management relating to the construction industry on national, regional, and state levels. The conference will further address residential and commercial liability issues arising from construction claims, work site accidents/injuries, and coverage disputes.
Mr. Dunigan will be speaking as part of a panel that will address the use of extrapolation evidence in complex construction claims involving large multi-family and mixed-use projects. The discussion will have a national focus, addressing recent appellate decisions in situations where attempts are made to project defects and damages based on limited testing results.

KNCH’s Keith Koeller and Ed Schmitt, frequent past speakers at The West Coast Casualty Annual Seminar, will once again be presenting at the 25th Anniversary program at the Disneyland Hotel. Topics will include evolving insurance coverage questions, contracts, and risk assessment scenarios which drive discussion and debate in the world of Construction Defect litigation.
On Wednesday May 16th, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Mr. Schmitt will be speaking as part of a panel regarding the pitfalls, pros and cons of Wrap-Up Insurance programs in a session titled “Unwrapped and Unraveled”, covering some of the foggy and unanticipated ground between expectation and reality in the eyes of players whose interests might not always remain in harmony.
On Friday May 18th, from noon to 1 pm, Mr. Koeller will be presenting an in-depth breakout panel discussion entitled “Real World Solutions to Problems Created by Wrap up Programs” in the Grand Ballroom, providing this audience with a fascinating toolbox for tackling the issues which invariably arise in the course of the construction of a project and its aftermath.

KNCH’s Bill Nebeker and Chad Dunigan will be speaking at the 2017 CLM & Business Insurance Construction Conference on October 10th at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California.
Mr. Nebeker will be speaking as part of the National session entitled “Don’t Get Wrapped Up in Navigating Wrap Ups!” The panel will focus on the mechanics of wrap policies as well as the contractual obligations of defense and indemnification pursuant to wrap versus traditional policies.
Mr. Dunigan has been selected as a panelist for the Southeast session entitled "There’s Nothing Wrong with the Construction, But It’s Still Your Fault!" The panel discussion is designed to explore recent legal developments and trends pertaining to claim resolution from the varying perspectives of the developer, general contractor, subcontractors, and insurance professionals. Mr. Dunigan will address the pros and cons of traditional litigation versus alternative dispute resolution of complex construction claims where additional insured rights are at issue.

David W. Kash of the KNCH Phoenix office will be speaking at The American Bar Association's Fidelity and Surety Law Committee's 2016 Midwinter Meeting on January 20th to 22nd, 2016 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.
Mr. Kash is a panelist for the session entitled "Site Work (Excavation and Foundation Preparation)." This seminar is designed to address the site contractor's typical scope of work, methodology of performance and issues that cause the greatest challenges. It will focus on differing site conditions, encountering debris, hazardous materials and even archaeological finds.
