Since beginning his practice in 1985, Gary has been fortunate to represent a wide variety of clients, including product manufacturers, commercial general contractors, transportation companies and corporations both large and small. He primarily handles the defense of higher profile personal injury matters. During his years at Koeller Nebeker Carlson Haluck, LLP, Gary along with his partners, Maria Plese and Tracy Hughes, have zealously represented their clients in a number of lengthy jury trials of high-exposure cases.
Gary has tried numerous cases to verdict, and is especially proud of having become a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates in 2004. The exercise of civility among lawyers, under even the most competitive scenarios, is an ABOTA principle which he strives to uphold.
For the vast majority of cases, which will be resolved outside of the trial court, Gary makes every effort to identify early on the most direct path toward an achievable conclusion to the matter which will best serve his clients’ interests.
While attending his first year of law school at the University of San Diego, torts was Gary’s favorite class by far, due to the wide variety of often unbelievable fact patterns. He knew fairly early that first year that litigating tort cases would one day become his specialty.
When not practicing law, Gary enjoys hiking, biking and enduring the triumphs and tribulations of his Los Angeles Dodgers.
