Meet Iva K. Todorova

Iva K. Todorova

Iva is an associate at Koeller Nebeker Carlson Haluck, LLP in the Las Vegas office. Her practice focuses on defending builders, developers, general contractors in commercial and residential construction defect litigation, as well as general liability defense, including catastrophic injury cases, and insurance defense.

Born in Bulgaria, Iva immigrated to the United States as a child.  Settling in Las Vegas, Nevada, she grew up watching her parents work extremely hard to build a new life instilling in her the value of hard work and upmost dedication to achieving set goals. Iva applies these values in her everyday work by tirelessly striving to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients during each stage of litigation.  Iva zealously represents her clients while endeavoring to maintain a professional relationship with opposing counsel.

She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, magna cum laude, from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She then attended Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas where she received her J.D. and graduated cum laude in the top-third of her class.  During law school, Iva’s unwavering determination to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients allowed her to successfully contribute to a first impression forum selection clause appeal in front of the Nevada Supreme Court (currently controlling law in Nevada) as well as obtaining a favorable decision in a Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals retaliation claim.

Prior to joining KNCH, Iva worked in immigration law where she helped U.S. businesses navigate through the complex immigration system to obtain valuable foreign employees.  She also assisted foreign investors in their expansion into the U.S. market, enriching the diversity of the U.S. economy by creating new U.S. jobs and bringing large investment sums.

During her free time, Iva enjoys reading to enhance her knowledge and spending time with her husband, daughter, family and her Golden Retriever, Haze.  Together, they love traveling and exploring nature and experiencing new places to make new unforgettable memories.
