During his time at Koeller Nebeker Carlson Haluck, Jay has gained experience in all aspects of risk management and litigation, including pre-litigation negotiations, preliminary investigations, discovery, expert investigations, and settlement negotiations. He has represented the firm’s largest homebuilders in a variety of cases, including construction defects.
Prior to joining KNCH, Jay represented clients in business litigation and transaction matters, family and marital law issues, probate, and estate planning.
Jay believes that effective communication, creative thinking and sound strategy are key ingredients to a strong advocacy for his clients.
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Jay also lived in Maryland before moving to Florida in 1998. He graduated from the University of Central Florida where he obtained his B.A. in Political Science. Jay then earned his J.D. from the Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where he graduated cum laude. He went on to attend the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., where he earned his LL.M. in Litigation and Dispute Resolution.
Outside of work, Jay enjoys spending time with his dog Bruiser, recording and playing music, and cooking.
