During his time at Koeller Nebeker Carlson Haluck, LLP, Scott has been involved in all facets of the litigation process, including preliminary investigations, discovery, depositions, settlement negotiations, mediations, motions for summary judgment, trials and appeals. Scott has represented state, county, and municipal defendants and homeowners in premises liability cases, as well as real estate developers, general contractors, trucking companies and businesses of all sizes in a variety of personal injury and general liability matters.
Scott is an effective advocate who enjoys bringing peace-of-mind to clients under difficult circumstances. He prides himself on listening and being able to explain legal intricacies to clients in ways they can understand so they feel empowered to make decisions that work best for them. He has obtained numerous dismissals and judgments for his clients while also successfully negotiating and settling cases when it’s in the client’s best interest. He is a persuasive communicator who has enjoyed success throughout his career representing clients’ interests in court and arbitration.
Scott was born and raised in Ventura, California, and earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science at the University of California Santa Barbara. He then attended the University of San Diego School of Law where, in addition to earning his law degree, Scott assisted small claims litigants to resolve their disputes through the San Diego Superior Court’s mediation program.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys camping, sports, and spending time with his wife and kids. He is an avid reader who thoroughly enjoys learning and experiencing new things and people.
