Meet Stephan M. Greco-La Serra

Stephan M. Greco-La Serra

Associate

Stephan is an associate in the Miami office of Koeller Nebeker Carlson Haluck, LLP, and his practice areas include general liability, construction and catastrophic injury litigation.  He has represented government entities, private associations, private businesses and insurance companies throughout the State of Florida at the trial and appellate levels.  Stephan brings a wealth of experience in defense of matters including product liability, commercial trucking claims, premises liability and insurance coverage analysis.

Representing a wide array of clients has allowed Stephan to develop long-term relationships built on integrity, candor and trust.  Stephan has conducted trials across Florida, as well as Alternative Dispute Resolution including mediations and pre-suit settlement conferences.

Stephan earned his B.S. in Marketing Communications from The Florida State University and his J.D. from the Mercer University School of Law, where he served as President of the Student Bar Association and was recognized with the Wall Street Journal Award for outstanding academic achievement.

In Fifth Grade, Stephan wrote an essay on what he wanted to do when he grew up and said, “I want to send the bad guys to jail.”  Upon graduation from law school, Stephan was an Assistant State Attorney which allowed him to realize that intention while prosecuting misdemeanor and felony crimes.  He received national attention for his prosecution of man charged with felony cruelty to animals and Stephan is always happy to advise that the animals survived and were adopted by loving families.

Before joining KNCH, Stephan practiced litigation at one of Florida’s largest insurance defense firms.

Outside of work, Stephan is a certified CrossFit Coach and competing athlete as well as a Certified Fitness Nutritionist. In 2021, he became one of the 1% of 6,000,000 annual visitors to complete the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim hike in one day – a total of 26 miles in 13 1/2 hours.  In 2022, Stephan completed a five day, 46 mile hike along the Salkantay Trial from the ancient Incan capital city of Cusco, Peru to Machu Picchu.  Stephan and his husband love to cook, travel, spend time with their terrier Kylie and volunteer time with the Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ youth through confidential crisis counseling and advocacy programs.
