Steve is an associate with Koeller Nebeker Carlson & Haluck in the Phoenix office. An Arizona native, Steve brings a wealth of experience and a diverse legal background to our team.
Steve’s journey to law was unconventional, as he pursued his legal career later in life. He began his educational path in Colorado, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado in 2009, followed by his Law Degree from the University of Denver in 2012.
Steve’s legal career started in the public sector as a Deputy District Attorney with the 4th Judicial District in Colorado Springs, where he honed his skills in criminal law conducting over 30 jury trials. He later transitioned to private practice, focusing on criminal defense and family law. In 2015, Steve returned to Arizona, where he expanded his legal expertise to include insurance defense, personal injury matters, and creditor’s rights.
Throughout his career, Steve has handled a multitude of varying cases from initial negotiations through trial on matters involving criminal prosecution, criminal defense, family law, personal injury, property damage, and insurance defense. His extensive trial experience and ability to achieve favorable outcomes for his clients make him a valuable addition to our team. Steve is known for his dedication to minimizing liability and exposure for the individuals and companies he represents.
Outside of his professional life, Steve enjoys spending quality outdoor time with his family and friends, whether it be manning the BBQ poolside, off-roading in the Arizona desert during the winter, or camping in the Arizona high country during the summer.
