John is the founding partner of the Austin office for the law firm of Koeller Nebeker Carlson Haluck, LLP. His practice is concentrated in the defense of developers, home builders, construction companies, government agencies, school districts, and individuals in litigation, tort actions, personal injury, wrongful death actions, construction defect, employment, civil rights, and automobile/premises liability cases. John specializes in handling unique and complex cases, which require creative problem solving and an aggressive approach to litigation in order to achieve his client’s goals. His trial experience has dealt with personal injuries, contractual disputes, construction defects, product and civil rights violations. His practice includes hundreds of mediations and arbitrations, as well as Federal and Superior Court law and motion.
Throughout his career, John has been able to combine his passion for the law with his business acumen when working with clients to reduce their liability exposure. He has experience in performing litigation case handling reviews, budgets, and risk evaluation. He has had the opportunity to produce and conduct risk management seminars for employees and management, and create procedures for implementation in the day-to-day operations of his clients.
John received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University and his J.D. degree from Loyola Law School. He is dedicated to the aggressive, service-oriented practice of law with the highest standards of ethical responsibility.
His family has been in the Golf Course Management business for over 40 years and he enjoys golfing with friends and family. John is active in his church and community teaching and working with youth.
